ProKids was looking to freshen up their existing site. They’re a fantastic organization who do so much for children in need. They also rely heavily on donations and volunteers from the public. With their existing site, they just weren’t getting the conversion on donations and volunteer sign-up that they were hoping for. The first steps were to take a look at how the site was structured, audit how the content was organized and determine whether there were clear calls to action throughout the site. The information architecture was restructured to be more intuitive and drive the audience to the volunteer sign up and donate pages. The look and feel was updated with warm oranges balanced against shades of the blue of the ProKids brand. The photography was tweaked to be more hopeful and aspiring, showing more of the positive aspects of the organization’s work for children in need. Overall, the site became more clear, more focused, easier to use, and more inspiring.
